BOOK COVER
Decisions! We need to pick a cover for the book. We are just a few weeks away from going to print and want your opinion on which photograph to use for the cover. Check out the following two options and let us know which you prefer. Please include your age and the reasoning behind your choice .

I love both, but prefer the girl with heart picture because it is more "universal" than the picture of an actual, specific girl. Anna, 37 (don't tell anyone).
I prefer The Girl In The Mirror for the cover, but it is a tough choice! I feel it represents what The Girl Project is all about, and the elements in the photo, including the camera, are all so telling and "real". The Girl With The Heart is more vague and dreamy, but would be lovely for other publicity for The Girl Project.(And I love the title!) Age: 37
the first cover seems to tell more about the project ... that one gets my vote!
I like the first one... She reaches out to touch you. She's engaging. How lucky that girl must be!
I would have to vote for the first cover. (The girl in the mirror) I feel it is more relevant to what the Girl Project represents.
I prefer the top one, with the mirror. It's less coy and more honest, somehow.

I LOVE the heart. I think it truly shows the vulnerable human nature and how colorful girls really are. To me, it highlights the specialness of a girl in today's world as a positive thing, rather than vainity or all the work that we must put into ourselves each day to be presentable.

I love both. I would like the first more if it was like... Blurred to give the reader a less blunt thing. How teeneagers feel inside?
I mean does this make sense?
But the 1st
I like the girl in the mirror. :) She looks like she has something to say and it makes me curious to learn more. The other is nice but more obvious. Doesn't show the depth.

I really relate to the first one of the girl in the mirror. It reminds me a lot of myself at that age... and of what it means to be a teenage girl. Good luck!!
i love the mirror one. it says a lot. she looks interesting and cool and edgy - i'd like to know her. i also think it tell me something about the project. tyla, 16
I like the one with the girl's face on it. It's more original, the heart looks familiar to me. I also think it looks a little edgier and intriguing and less "sappy" and overdone.

WOW these are both amazing!! I think that the shot with heart is more innocent. While the one in the mirror is very intriguing and foreboding and gives the sense that the rest of the photographs are going to be intense and serious. I am leaning towards the shot in the mirror but they would both be excellent choices. I am so excited about the book it is a truly great project! Kim, age: 18
Kate the mirror shot is more intriguing and informative about the content of the book....I don't get the title though?
I like the first cover with the girl in the mirror, it's more raw...realistic.
Even though I do like the second cover, I feel it's a bit cliche and overused.
I can't wait to see which one will be printed!

I love the one with the girl in the mirror, shows the girl as a human. The heart one is cute, but kinda only goes as far as "girl... cute"
well, i honestly have to say i would have loved for my photo to have been selected for the cover!! oh well. but these are nice too. i'd say the girl in the mirror. there is something about her expression... it says how girls actually feel insdide. what we go through. the other one is nice too though. age: 16

it seems to say more about teenage girls. i can relate more with the first one.
the heart does not relate to the book and what its about. i feel hearts are over used. age: 14

headless people freak me out. i'm going with the other one. the girl taking her photo gets my vote.
The first cover immediately engages the viewer. It seems to better "reflect" the project and what is to follow inside the book.
i like the girl in the mirror. it doesnt seem to be so "bubble gum" as the colorful heart picture - gives it a feeling of something with more substance. but either are amazing! and i love the title. Nicely done. Miss you. Flint - 34
I prefer the first one. The second one looks just like every other teen novel on book shelves. I agree with the comment that said that the second one is overused and clichéd.
At first I liked the girl with the heart photo better, but I think I actually prefer the Girl in the Mirror. I think she represents what this project is about. You can see the camera, and I like the expression on her face...she seems to embody the attitude expressed by the title, the sort of please see me if you can. It is less universal, but more direct, and I think more gripping, which is important for a cover.

For what it's worth: i really really like both pictures! I think that the mirror photo more immediately "explains" the book/ project in this one visual (girl taking her (own) picture - even if not all the girls took pictures of themselves).

At first glance I preferred the Girl with Heart, but I think that's just because of the colors. The Girl in the Mirror represents a true girl. I mean, what girl hasn't been frustrated and taken a pic in front of the mirror? So that one gets my vote.

I say the girl in the mirror best represents the book and the overall project. Number ONE gets my vote!

The girl in the mirror. The other one could be about anything... but the girl in the mirror draws me in and gives me a clue as to what the book is about.
The girl in the mirror. The photo tells so much, and will probably have different meanings for everyone. It's a unique picture, something that hasn't been done to death. I've seen countless photos of girls holding heart shaped somethings in front of their body. The first has so much truth to it. It's real.

I like the girl in the robe because it gives off a mysterious feeling and if i saw it on the cover i would want to open the book.

I prefer the girl holding the heart. She is the faceless representation of all the girls, teens, pre-teens, and young adults that feel like they don't have a voice. Besides, the girl in the mirror makes it look like the book is about this one girl. In a book store, a teen girl roaming the shelves would be more intrigued to find out what the book is about if there is no face on the cover (that’s why I picked up the Gossip Girl book ages ago. I wanted to put a face to the bodies on the cover so I wanted to read the book.) I just think by putting a face on the cover you take away the "this could be anyone, this could be you" mentality that teen girls need and want. Besos, Stephanie 20
The first one is great because you can actually see the camera that represented the project. However I think the heart cover would be just as eye-catching, maybe even more so because its a little more vague so as to arouse interest and make people pick it up & read it, rather than thinking its just another book about just one girl, when in reality its so much more.
